Heart Disease, Low Testosterone, Erectile Dysfunction, and More
Men’s Health is something that should concern all men regardless of their age. Even though a lot of issues are age related, it’s best to be kind to your future self and prepare for any eventuality.
Heart Disease & Other Concerns To Men’s Health
Men are susceptible to a variety of health concerns. The VA has identified 5 health threats to watch out for:

- Cardiovascular disease: reduce risk by managing blood pressure, cholesterol, eating healthy, and regular exercise.
- Lung Cancer: signs to look out for include cough that doesn’t go away or gets worse over time or has blood in it, loss of appetite or weight loss, fatigue, pneumonia or bronchitis.
- Prostate Cancer: symptoms to be aware of include problems passing urine, such as pain, difficulty starting or stopping, lower back pain, pain with ejaculation.
- Depression and Suicide: symptoms may be mild, moderate, or severe and include hopelessness, losing interest in or not getting pleasure from most of your daily activities, and having little energy.
- Diabetes: reduce risk by maintaining a healthy weight and eating nutritious low-calorie food, staying active and reducing stress levels, and regular check ups with your doctor.

A lot of these could be related to or exacerbated by poor nutrition, lack of exercise, and stress. Giving yourself some peace of mind by having supplements cover your minimum vitamin and mineral needs is worth considering along with the proper specialist consultations.
Testosterone, Erectile Dysfunction, & more
As we age, it’s not only wear and tear that our bodies face but also hormonal changes that can manifest into different symptoms that, if observed by itself, do not seem related to hormones.

Low Testosterone Symptoms to Watch Out For
- Reduced sex drive
- Erectile dysfunction
- Hair loss
- Loss of lean muscle mass
- Fatigue
- Rapid weight gain
- Depression
All of these symptoms can be slightly worrying by themselves, but together, they can make life difficult. With how a lot of these symptoms have a lot of different possible causes, it’s important to get a blood spot test kit and consult with a hormone specialist to rule out hormonal causes. If it is confirmed to be hormone-related, then a consultation with your doctor and hormone specialist can help you find ways to address your needs.

ED & How To Address It
Erectile Dysfunction or ED is something that comes up when Men’s Health is discussed, and it’s something that we might feel awkward to talk to our doctor about, especially if traditional therapies aren’t working. Luckily, compounding pharmacies have customized solutions that may be able to address it. If traditional therapy isn’t working for you, see the alternatives you can take.
